About Us
Mission Statement
The Cairns Surgical Collaborative was formed to provide
- Holistic, collaborative and comprehensive surgical care for all patients of Far North Queensland, both publicly and privately, covering from the Torres Strait and Cape York down to the Cassowary Coast
- A shared care and multidisciplinary management principle, where patients have access to a team of specialist clinicians rather than an individual
- Support to the local and regional GP community in Far North Queensland, with expedited surgical advice, fast-tracked admissions and assessments for acute pathology, and urgent consultation and management for cancer care
- Evidence based, multidisciplinary clinical practice for both benign and malignant conditions
- Collaborative support to our surgical, medical, obstetric and gynaecologic colleagues and their respective patients
The Cairns Surgical Collaborative is proud to work closely with a network of surgeons, physicians and oncologists throughout Queensland (ranging from Cairns and Townsville in the North, down to Brisbane and the Gold Coast region in the South), and around Australia, allowing for up-to-date multi-disciplinary care. This ensures that patients will be receiving not only the highest standard of care, but a team of specialists involved in that care.
